Downtown Atlanta is set to get a YOTEL property in 2022, in the heart of the city’s Underground transformation, a historic four-block redevelopment from real estate developer WRS, Inc.
The new-build property will feature 234 cabins designed for short stays (YOTEL) and 117 PADs for longer stays (YOTELPAD). Construction of the hotel is set to begin in summer 2020. In addition to signature features such as self-check-in kiosks, multi-functional concept KOMYUNITI will be at the heart of the project. This hub is designed for guests to work, relax and socialize. A grab-and-go café and restaurant will be situated on the ground floor, while the roof will offer a bar. An outdoor pool will also be included.
Once completed, Underground will have over 400,000 sq. ft. of retail, restaurant, entertainment, event space, office, residential and student housing space. YOTEL operates seven airport hotels and five city center hotels. YOTEL is expanding with new projects under development globally, including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Geneva, Amsterdam, Miami, Dubai, Mammoth, Park City, Porto and New York Long Island City.
