With interiors designed by Nini Andrade e Silva and the W brand’s design team, the 179-room W São Paulo will play on opposites, such as old versus new and nature versus technology. The hotel’s architecture is designed by Aflalo e Gasperini Arquitetos with landscaping designed by Benedito Abbud Arquitetura Paisagistica. HBR Realty is the owner.
W São Paulo’s aesthetic will juxtapose traditions of Brazilian architects with a tropical landscape. Lush gardens on the ground floor that feature paths and a rooftop complete with an infinity edge pool will pay homage to local culture and the vibrancy of Brazil. Two feature restaurants including a rooftop venue and a lobby bar will offer dining options. A fitness center and 16,145 sq. ft. of meeting space round out the development.
The opening of W São Paulo in 2021 will mark Marriott Intl.’s first luxury hotel in Brazil and the seventh W hotel in the Caribbean and Latin American region alongside W Santiago, W Mexico City, W Costa Rica, W Panama, W Colombia and W Punta de Mita.
