Two Roads Hospitality has assumed management of Park South Hotel in New York, which will join its Joie de Vivre Hotels brand. The 131-key boutique hotel is situated in the city’s NoMad neighborhood on 28th Street between Park Avenue South and Lexington Avenue.
The property completed a $20 million renovation in late 2015, unveiling updated art deco-inspired guest rooms and suites designed by Lisa Knight of Warwick, Rhode Island-based ABI Interior Design and completely redesigned restaurants and public areas by CCS Architecture, which has offices in NY and San Francisco. As part of a partnership with the New York City epicurean bookstore Kitchen Arts & Letters, the hotel features a library with a collection of limited edition and rare books from around the world.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Park South Hotel into our Joie de Vivre collection as the brand’s second New York City property, following last year’s highly-anticipated opening of Hotel 50 Bowery in Chinatown,” says Jamie Sabatier, ceo of Two Roads Hospitality. “Nestled within Manhattan’s trendy NoMad neighborhood, Park South Hotel is superbly located, giving our guests the opportunity to explore and discover another desirable, energized area of the city.”
Joie de Vivre’s collection of boutique hotels and resorts includes properties in California as well as Chicago, Washington, D.C. and New York.
