Boutique Design Events and Trade Fairs

The 167-room Hyatt Centric Mountain View is the lifestyle brand’s first property in Silicon Valley, California, and its fourth in the state. OTO developed the hotel with project partners, including: CallisonRTKL, architect; Studio HBA, interior designer; and Lusardi Construction Co., general contractor. OTO is operating the property.

The design is described as tech-forward, paying homage to the destination’s history as the birthplace of modern technology. Locally inspired art references Silicon Valley’s storied innovation. For example, an installation in the lobby is rendered with hundreds of mini pocket compasses and a neon depiction of the periodic symbol for silicon. A lounge by the bar features metal panels with an interactive QR code motif as well as wall art composed of classic Atari games and other creative memorabilia. Multimedia pieces created with computer components adorn guestroom walls.

The project also includes on-site restaurant and bar, Fairchilds Public House. Rounding out the property are a fitness center, heated pool, fire pit, meeting space and life-sized games.
