Soul Community Planet (SCP) announced that the newly-renovated New Redmond Hotel will reopen in December as the SCP Redmond. The 41,000-sq.-ft. property features 49 rooms and suites, coworking space, The Rooftop garden and conservatory, fitness center, along with a number of other food and beverage venues, including the Provisions Market.
SCP Redmond, located in Oregon, is the latest addition to the company’s hotel portfolio. The property, designed by Kelly Ogden of Portland, Oregon-based ELK Collective, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. SCP Redmond’s renovation was made possible through a public-private partnership between the city of Redmond and the developer.
The renovation preserved the property’s historic character while merging its classical design with elements of SCP’s trademark mindful, eco-friendly style. In keeping with SCP’s environmental ethos, the refresh also included use of sustainable and regionally-sourced materials. The new layout incorporates a range of spaces conducive to work, relaxation, fitness and socialization.
The hotel is also home to Oishi Japanese Restaurant, the Red Martini Kitchen & Cocktails, AK’s Tea Room and Alycia White Photography Studio, all of which have been tenants for several years.
