Architect Rafael Viñoly and interior design firm Yabu Pushelberg are on tap to design the The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad in Manhattan, which broke ground this week and is expected to open in 2021.
Marriott Intl. and luxury development firm Flag Luxury Group are behind the $500 million project, which will offer 250 rooms and 16 branded residences. Towering over 500 feet high, the building will provide panoramic views of the Empire State Building and the downtown area.
Rounding out the development are a fine-dining restaurant, the Club Lounge, the brand’s signature spa and fitness center, a rooftop bar, a large public garden and open terraces that will feature greenery and trees, two ballrooms, and a 3,000 sq. ft. outdoor terrace.
