Pendry Hotels is redeveloping a 106-year-old, 33,000 sq. ft. Tudor-style mansion formerly owned by the King of Morocco into a resort and residences. Located in Somerset County, New Jersey, less than an hour from New York City, the 66-room Pendry Natirar hotel and Pendry Natirar Residences are set to open in the spring of 2020.
Pendry’s hotel and residences are the next phase of the site’s development. The Natirar Mansion’s estate currently houses the Ninety Acres Restaurant & Cooking School (designed by Rockwell Group), a farm, banquet facility Mansion Ballroom and a private membership club. The forthcoming hotel will offer a full-service spa, fitness center, pool and tennis courts. Groups will be accommodated by more than 13,000 sq. ft. of indoor meeting and event space, which includes a 5,000 sq. ft. ballroom.
“We could not be more honored to be stewards of Natirar,” says Alan Fuerstman, founder, chairman and ceo, Montage Intl., the parent company of the Pendry brand. “To be able to take one of the country’s most idyllic country estates and reinvigorate it with new life that makes it accessible to guests, club members and homeowners is an incredible opportunity.”
