High-profile designer Karim Rashid created a three-dimensional look at the new 476-room Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam City West in The Netherlands. The property, which is dubbed the most colorful hotel in Amsterdam, opened earlier this month.
The hotel’s guestrooms and suites feature Rashid’s signature color scheme—described as bold, sensuous and spacious—over the rooms’ curved walls. To realize the property’s vision, Rashid has chosen a different color for each floor of the hotel.
“Inspired by my belief that the contemporary, physical world can be warm, soft, human, seamless and pleasurable, Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam City West encapsulates a radiant spectrum of experiences for guests to enjoy,” says Rashid, whose hospitality portfolio includes several design-led Prizeotel properties across Germany.
Spanning over two floors, the hotel showcases colorful meetings rooms and a 7,319-sq.-ft. ballroom with a separate pre-conference area. Combined with an opera-style balcony, the space can host up to 750 people in theater seating, making the property one of the biggest conference hotels in Europe. Nineteen additional break-out rooms are connected with three more pre-conference areas, all equipped with modern technical and media facilities.
The hotel, which is owned by Omnam and managed by Radisson Hospitality AB, is located in Ven Amsterdam, a mixed-use complex in the Dutch capital.
