Universal Orlando Resort’s sixth hotel ditches theming. The 600-key Aventura Hotel, designed by Janson Goldstein, uses sleek modernism as its guiding visual principle.
Guests are welcomed through the hotel’s bright and open lobby, featuring a neutral color palette with ample lighting and large columns throughout. Wood-planked reception desks play off the natural feel of the area, while glass half walls separate zones meant for eating, working or lounging.
Guestrooms feature a sleek, clean and modern design with pops of color from furniture accenting the neutral color palette. A red-orange fabric chair juxtaposes clean, cream curtains, for instance, or beige and white linens are highlighted by a textured purple backdrop running the length of the wall behind. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Orlando views.
The property also includes a virtual reality game room, food hall, pools and the first rooftop bar and grill for the resort, the Bar 17 Bistro.
