Omni Hotels & Resorts’ in-house design team has upgraded the look of Bob’s Steak & Chop House at the Omni San Francisco to pay homage to the city’s Financial District and the former home of San Francisco’s most respected banks dating back to 1852.
With operations led by executive chef Thomas Rhodes, the steakhouse features memorabilia from the city, vintage banking photography, equestrian art and wine country artifacts. The dining room’s centerpiece is the Heritage Wall that nods to the city’s history of lavish events. Photos and artifacts from these soirees are seen throughout the wood-paneled space.
A houndstooth carpet with bold tones of sapphire, camel and ivory sets the foundation for the bar. The look draws inspiration from the clothing worn by generations of powerbrokers, and that aesthetic is highlighted by natural light streaming in from the space’s large windows.
A new diamond-tufted banquette borders one side of the bar and offers views of San Francisco’s original cable car line that dates back to 1878. The bar’s high ceiling is accented by geometric shapes set in wooden framework, acting as a complement to the crescent mahogany bar’s granite top. Modern two-tone wingback stools surround the bar.
