Boutique Design Events and Trade Fairs

The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va. recently unveiled two new on-property restaurants that took design and culinary inspiration from the local area.

Rubino’s At The Cascades is the former summer cottage home of New York stock trader and namesake Jake Rubino and was built in the 1890s. This clubhouse restaurant is located on the Cascades Golf Course. First designed by architectural firm Tracy and Swartwout, the property features Italianate architecture, buff brickwork, Indiana limestone and hand-wrought iron that showcases Rubino’s initials. The restaurant serves up clubhouse favorites and Italian-inspired family-style dishes.

The other restaurant, Woody’s, is housed in one of the property’s most historic structures, the Casino building. It’s named after the resort’s long-time associate Woodrow “Woody” Pettus, who passed away in May. Woody’s is a casual burger join open for lunch and dinner.
