Reno Slated For Louisville Hotel
Galt House’s $80M update spearheaded by Knorman Berry, Swope Design Group
Wyndham Hotel Group has added Kentucky's Galt House Hotel to its soft-branded hotel roster, and plans to put the flagship property for its Trademark collection through an $80 million renovation. That work, slated to start in June and led by Knorman Berry Associates Architects and Swope Design Group, is slated for completion in early 2020.

Dating to 1835, the two-tower, 1,310-key Galt House Hotel will feature reimagined guest rooms and public spaces, and furnishing and finishes inspired by the food, bourbon, horses and colors of Kentucky, including spring green, saddle brown, aged-barn red, thoroughbred blue and jockey-silk orange. The hotel will also introduce fresh culinary concepts in all its existing dining venues and add three new ones. (The hotel currently features seven full-service restaurants and lounges, including RIVUE, a 25th floor revolving venue, and other amenities such as the Club 360° Fitness Center and the three-story Conservatory that connects the hotel’s two towers over downtown Louisville’s 4th Street.)
“At the core of our mission is introducing our legendary Louisville legacy to even more guests across the world, and partnering with Wyndham gives us the high-profile size, scale and visibility to do just that,” says Scott Shoenberger, president and ceo of Al J. Schneider Co., the hotel's owner. “Together with Wyndham, we're excited to bring the spirited Louisvillian experience to life for travelers, helping them discover a slice of home in Kentucky they'll remember and want to return to for years to come.”
