Atlanta Adds Canopy
R2L: Architects led the design of 176-room hotel
Canopy by Hilton Atlanta Midtown, with architecture designed by R2L: Architects, houses 176 guestrooms with a look inspired by the surrounding art community. With interiors designed by Krause Sawyer as well as three local commissioned artists, the rooms feature local textiles and artwork.
The hotel, partially owned and operated by Concord Hospitality and developed by Greystar and Whitman Peterson, also offers in-house restaurant Xhibit Studio Kitchen & Bar. The property has three meeting rooms and an outdoor venue. A 24-hour fitness center rounds out the property.
“Opening this hotel in Atlanta has been such an exciting project,” says Vincent Bucci, chief enthusiast at Canopy by Hilton Atlanta Midtown. “Since breaking ground, we have watched this neighborhood change before our eyes and have become a part of the amazing community of people here. We can't wait for visitors from all over the world to experience the same Southern hospitality we've come to know and love here in the capital of the South.”
