Life House Launches in Miami
New collection's first two properties to debut in Little Havana and South Beach
Former Sydell Group and Starwood Capital Group executive Rami Zeidan and technology entrepreneur Yury Yakubchyk have teamed up to launch a new collection of lifestyle hotels called Life House.
The collection’s first two properties are located in Miami, one each in Little Havana (slated to debut in early December) and South Beach (set to launch in mid-April). The startup is backed by $70 million in funding between venture and real estate capital, with investment from Global Founders Capital, Rocket Internet, Comcast Ventures, Trinity Ventures and Henley Investments. The executives aim to have 20 properties under development in the U.S. by the end of 2019.
Each property will be designed with experiences in mind, with the goal of encouraging connection through a chic aesthetic that feels sophisticated yet grounded. Each property brings to life the personality of its respective neighborhood with unique food and beverage, as well as music programs that will be curated and produced by locals.
The group is also launching its own social network. Guests visiting on the same dates to the same location can opt into an online community where they can chat, make plans, join forums based on interest and meet in person at the property. In the future, guests in shared rooms will be able to meet their roommates on this platform before arrival. This network is built with an algorithm to match guests based on their profile and preferences.
