Majestic Heads to Vegas
Paul Steelman designs architecture
Majestic Las Vegas, from Las Vegas native and developer Lorenzo Doumani, is set to break ground. The $850 million dollar, 620-ft.-tall resort is scheduled to commence construction in May 2020 and is slated for completion in early 2023.
The building draws inspiration from architect Paul Williams’ iconic La Concha design which was built by the Doumani family in 1961. Architect Paul Steelman of Steelman Partners was tapped to provide a timeless design at the Majestic Las Vegas that is futuristic and a throwback to the 1960s.
The five-star, non-gaming, 720-room, all-suite luxury resort will sit on the over six-acre site formerly occupied by the Clarion Hotel. This location is directly across from the site of the new Las Vegas Convention Center opening in 2021 and two blocks from the Las Vegas Strip.
The development will include six standalone restaurants from renowned chefs, a pool area with 50 cabanas and a live entertainment area. Additionally, the property will house a four-level, 70,000 sq. ft. fitness and spa center. Then, Sky Suites will be situated on levels 51 to 60 to be home to corporate business.
