JUMEIRAH GROUP EXPANDS IN CHINA
Architect Zaha Hadid took design inspiration from a sailing ship
Dubai Holding’s Jumeirah Group, under the direction of ceo José Silva, has accelerated its expansion with a new Chinese property, the 261-room Jumeirah Nanjing.
Architect Zaha Hadid took design inspiration from a sailing ship for the hotel, located on the 39th through 67th floors of the North Tower in the International Youth Cultural Centre of the Hexi New District. The hotel is also home to six restaurants and bars. The property’s Talise Spa and Sky Atrium Pool are located on the 67th floor beneath a four-story glass ceiling.
This addition allows the hotelier to expand its luxury portfolio, which currently comprises 22 hotels and resorts around the globe. The group will be opening additional properties in the Asia-Pacific region, including in China and Bali.
