JEFF KLEIN BRINGS NO. 850 TO LA
Hotel, set to open next week, offers residential aesthetic
Jeff Klein of JK Hotel Group, who is known for Los Angeles’ Sunset Tower, will debut No. 850 in the heart of West Hollywood. The 23-room, boutique hotel will exude European chic thanks to work from architect Marc Appleton and London-based interior designer Rita Konig.
The restored property, scheduled to open October 1, focuses on interiors typically found in residential spaces. Konig brings her signature touch with distinct layers of pastels and various textures contrasted against artwork and diverse décor. Guestrooms feature oak floors, a fireplace, unique furniture and marble sinks in bathrooms. Massive steel sash windows frame the city’s panoramic views.
The hotel’s lobby is the centerpiece of the property. The space doubles as a bar, serving up a wine list curated by Klein and his team. A living area sits a floor above the lobby’s lounge with a fireplace as a focal point. A communal kitchen with a marble refrigerator lends a residential feel to the hotel. A rooftop terrace will also serve wine and small plates.
