Hotel Zachary Opens in Chicago
Studio K Creative, Stantec design interiors inspired by Wrigley Field architect
Davidson Hotels & Resorts has debuted the Hotel Zachary at Gallagher Way, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Chicago’s Lakeview Neighborhood. Studio K Creative spearheaded the hotel’s public spaces and Stantec Architecture designed its 173 guest rooms. Owned by Hickory Street Capital, the new lifestyle hotel will be managed by Pivot Hotels & Resorts, Davidson's lifestyle and luxury division.
The hotel is inspired by its namesake, famed Chicago architect Zachary Taylor Davis, who designed nearby Wrigley Field in 1914. It is housed within a 238,000 sq. ft. mixed-use development.
"Hotel Zachary will pay homage to the neighborhood's rich history and to Chicago's architecture and design legacy,” says Tom Ricketts, chairman of Hickory Street Capital. “We're excited to offer new chef-driven restaurants and unique, year-round experiences for neighbors, families, fans, and visitors."
John Belden, president and ceo of Davidson Hotels & Resorts, adds: "We're thrilled to grow Pivot with an incomparable owner like the Ricketts family, as they have demonstrated significant progress in restoring Wrigley Field and developing and enhancing the surrounding neighborhood.”
Davidson and its Pivot unit specialize in independent and branded properties in the upper-upscale to near-luxury segments, including 45 hotels, more than 13,000 rooms and more than 1.5 million sq. ft. of meeting space in the United States.
