H CLUB TO DEBUT IN LOS ANGELES
The London-based brand will bring 35-room hotel to the city
HKS Architects in collaboration with London interior designer Russell Sage will head the design for the upcoming h Club in Los Angeles, which will be located on Hollywood’s Vine Street and set to open next February.
The interiors of the 35-room property are inspired by the Modern Grand Tour of Europe. A partnership with Capitol Records will bring never-before-seen photos to one of the first art installations for the h Club Art Program. The program showcases artwork from local and global artists to be featured throughout the main club spaces and guestrooms.
Three restaurants and bars will complete the development, in addition to a rooftop dining space that leads to a desert garden inspired by English film director Derek Jarman. An on-site tea room will nod to English traditions fused with Japanese culture. Creative co-working spaces, a music studio, screening room, rooftop cinema and live performance space will help to round out the offerings. Other amenities include an outdoor pool deck, gym and wellness facilities.
h Club LA will offer a members’ program including musical performances, film screenings, album launches, exhibitions, book readings and debates. Additionally, the club’s philanthropic arm, h Foundation, will work with Los Angeles-based not-for-profit organizations to implement educational and employment programs for young people who typically lack access to the creative industries. h Club was founded in London in 2004 by philanthropist and Microsoft cofounder, Paul G. Allen, and musician Dave Stewart.
