The Gettys Group has promoted company veteran Ron Swidler to a position created just for him: chief innovation officer. His career with Gettys, a global hospitality firm specializing in interior design, development, branding and procurement, dates back to 1988 as the first hire ever at the company. Since then, he has held several different positions. Most recently, he created and led the firm’s branding group. He also spearheaded The Hotel of Tomorrow Project and spin-off Fast Forward conference.

Now, Swidler is responsible for shaping and advancing the company’s long-term innovation strategy as well as integrating new insights and processes to create value for team members, clients and projects.

“It is an exciting challenge as we continue to evolve our strategy for the future,” says Swidler. “The pace of change continues to accelerate around us, and we are committed to innovating our businesses to keep pace.”
