Spain's Elysium City project to be first major smart sustainable city in Europe
Sustainable development Elysium City is expected to open in Spain in 2028. Created by former Walt Disney executive John Cora and developed by his organization Cora Alpha, the property will comprise a sports arena, casino, theme park, marina, several resorts, retail outlets, residential units and restaurants.
The development will be the first major smart sustainable city in Europe planned and built in accordance with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, according to a statement from Cora. The project expects to draw 4.5 million visitors during its first year in business.
