Cancun Resort Doubles Rooms
Club Med refreshes family-centric guestrooms
The Club Med Cancún Yucatán has nearly doubled the size of its footprint with an expansion that added 60 guestrooms to the family-centric, all-inclusive resort, for a new total of 120 keys.
In keeping with the family-friendly concept, called Aguamarina, Club Med added two-bedroom suites that allow parents to sleep separately from children but stay connected. Guestrooms are designed with bright pops of color, including bold red, orange and aqua accents. Pink throw pillows and blankets drape white-linen beds to give guestrooms a smooth, warm feel.
Outside the guestrooms, a new pool area offers lounge space with pink and aqua detailing adorning the surrounding furniture. La Marina, a family bar, is also housed in the pool area. Three more on-site restaurants top off the resort.
The expansion follows on the heels of the property’s 2017 renovations that saw upgrades to several areas, including a refresh of meeting and event space, a new wellness experience, a pool deck redesign and new dining concepts.
