SEE THE POSSIBILITIES competition invites designers to push the creative limits of vinyl composition tile (VCT)
Press Release: Lancaster, Pa., October 29, 2018 – Armstrong Flooring announces the new SEE THE POSSIBILITIES™ Design Competition, calling on professional designers to push the limits of vinyl composition tile (VCT) by creating bold and vibrant designs to reflect the demands of modern commercial interiors. Entries may be submitted through January 15, 2019 at www.armstrongflooring.com/designcontest.
The Grand Prize, valued at $2500, is a trip for two to beautiful Palm Springs, California, a destination that is recognized for its design aesthetic and historical architecture.
The contest is open to professionals in the Design & Architecture community located in the United States, as well as students of Design or Architecture. Entrants can submit either finished installations or conceptual layouts featuring Armstrong Flooring VCT products in a healthcare, education, retail, hospitality or office setting.
“The competition recognizes that the right floor adds immeasurably to the beauty and function of an education, healthcare, retail, corporate or hospitality environment. Client satisfaction is key, and architects and designers know the value of specifying the highest quality materials along with the latest in design and technology,” said Director of Brand Marketing Ebeth Pitman.
VCT’s durable construction ensures lasting beauty, while flowing linear patterns, organic looks and densely patterned earth tones effectively mask scuffs and soil in busy commercial spaces. Armstrong VCT harmonizes with other products across the company’s portfolio to help execute a bespoke design vision. Now this venerable commercial tile has been reinvented. Specifiers can order Armstrong Flooring VCT with Diamond 10® Technology coating, keeping tile floors looking newer longer at a lower maintenance cost than traditional VCT. The patent-pending Diamond 10 Technology provides a protective coating, improving resistance to scratches, stains and scuffs. It enables building owners to use less floor polish to maintain the floor, reducing cost of ownership significantly over the life of the floor.
The winning VCT design will be selected by a jury of design professionals, including Armstrong Flooring product designers. Submissions will be judged on visual appeal; creative use of color and pattern, and practicality of design with sector in mind. Armstrong Flooring VCT products must be used exclusively and identified by sku number.
Winners will be announced February 1, 2019. For information and entry requirements, please contact your Armstrong Flooring representative or visit www.armstrongflooring.com/designcontest.
