Friedman Buys Rosewood Inn
Chef Michael Schlow to oversee culinary
Hospitality veteran and investor Brian Friedman has acquired Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Friedman says he plans to keep the property “authentic” with new inclusions that only elevate the dining, art and service experiences “that will carry it into the future, assuring its longevity and legacy.”
Additionally, James Beard Award winning chef and restaurateur Michael Schlow has been brought aboard to oversee the creation of an internationally inspired culinary concept. Schlow will work in collaboration with the Inn’s executive chef, Peter O’Brien.
The hotel will also pay homage to the art scene throughout the area. To execute on the new vision, Friedman has secured renowned local art advisor and gallerist Victoria Addison of the Addison Rowe Gallery. The property will showcase a rotating collection of works by artists that showcase Santa Fe’s art scene. A related amenity will be an art concierge on staff to curate private gallery tours and personalized experiences to expand visitors’ understanding of Southwest art.
Also, Graham King, owner and founder of Urban Athletic Club, has been tapped to expand the health club offerings, with a focus on innovative classes and top-of-the-line equipment as well as wellness and integrative therapies. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will continue overseeing operations of the 58-room property.
