Three high-profile architecture firms have joined forces to establish a strategic alliance. Arcplus, a China-based architecture design and engineering consulting firm; Wilson Associates, a hospitality-focused interior architectural design firm headquartered in Dallas; and London-based multidisciplinary design firm Zaha Hadid Architects plan to collaborate on research initiatives with a focus on high-rise buildings.

“The conceptual and creative force of Zaha Hadid Architects, Arcplus’ architectural and structural engineering excellence, and Wilson Associates’ unparalleled expertise in hospitality interiors together will offer next-generation design,” say Wilson Associates’ representatives. “Together, we’ll work to collaborate on future proposals and provide advanced and practical solutions for international clients.”

The new partnership will help the trio leverage technology, increase efficiencies and integrate stages of the design process that are often disconnected across locations and disciplines, according to the firms.

“We see this alliance as a continuation of global best practice, maintaining research and innovative thrust, where each of the firm’s individual strengths will deliver the most ambitious projects,” say representatives at Zaha Hadid Architects. “The combination of design excellence, resources, knowledge and sector-leading expertise enables us to deliver more sophisticated, high-performance and high-value projects.”

Arcplus representatives add: “This team of global experts will be at the cutting edge of architectural and engineering technology, digital design and energy efficiency.”

The new partnership will be celebrated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Shanghai, with events in London and New York to follow in coming months.
