Hotel Riu Vallarta in Mexico reopened its doors after a complete renovation. Built in 2006, the 5-star property has a total of 678 guestrooms.
In the refreshed lobby, the reception desk is set under a large central skylight. The hotel’s high ceilings have been retained and are complemented by massive lamps and artwork. Rooms are decorated in warm tones, contrasting with the green plant motifs on the upholstery.
The hotel now has a total of five pools, one of them with a swim-up bar. New food and beverage options include Italian restaurant Il Gusto, Pepe’s Food, as well as a steakhouse. Kulinarium and Nirvana also survived the refit and were updated. Don Rafael was outfitted with a larger terrace.
