Minor Hotels is expanding its cruise offerings with the launch of Mekong Kingdoms, a fleet of five river vessels that will offer itineraries along Thailand’s Mekong River. “Our guests are travelers who desire not just a unique travel experience, but one that enhances the ambiance of the destinations,” says Dillip Rajakarier, ceo of Bangkok-based Minor Hotels. “Mekong Kingdoms cruises harken back to the days when the journey is savored as much as the destination.”
Mekong Kingdoms’ flagship is Bohème’, a 138-ft., 13-cabin luxury barge decorated with Indochinese-inspired artwork that includes such facilities as a sun deck, wine cellar and spa. Other vessels in the fleet include Gypsy, a two-cabin cruiser that can accommodate up to four passengers; Nomad, which offers sunset cruises; Play, a floating lounge for up to 15 passengers with sundeck, private room and a sound system; and Monsoon, a touring shuttle.
Mekong Kingdoms cruises joins Minor Hotels’ existing fleet of Manohra Dining Cruises in Bangkok and Anantara Overnight Cruises. Minor Hotels is an international hotel owner, operator and investor that currently has 157 hotels in operation in 24 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe and South America.
