LSI Wallcovering has unveiled a new name, Versa Designed Surfaces, a move it says builds on the recognition of the 60-year-old company’s Versa Wallcovering brand. The shift also reflects the New Albany, Indiana-based company’s plans to diversify into other surface treatments for commercial interiors. The company, which supplies more than 2,000 commercial vinyl wallcovering products to 60 countries, intends to introduce new surface materials under the Versa Designed Surfaces umbrella.
LSI helped lead the wallcovering industry’s efforts to create its first sustainability standard and was the first manufacturer to certify to it. It also developed Second-Look, the first recycling program for post-consumer wallcovering. The company says Versa Designed Surfaces will continue to pioneer research and development of sustainable interiors products while advancing manufacturing and business practices that meet the critical environmental challenges of the interior design industry.
