In March, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will open the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot in New Orleans’ central business district near the French Quarter. The new boutique hotel, a redo of an existing property, is designed by New York-based firm MARKZEFF and Delawie Architecture, and marks Kimpton’s re-entry into the market after a 15-year absence.
The lobby’s white paneled walls and wide plank, white oak wood floors with black detailing offer an urban lounge vibe that feels comfortable, lived in, and in keeping with the neighborhood and culture of New Orleans. The 202 guestrooms feature a clean and modern aesthetic accentuated by soft colors, and bright, airy spaces.
The hotel is also introducing two signature dining and cocktail concepts. Café optionGospel Coffee and Boozy Treats will be located near the main entrance just off the lobby, while the Peacock Room offers a cocktail program and food options.
