Arcadia Design Architects is designing Dominica’s first beachfront 5-star resort, the Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica, which is set to open next year from Kempinski Hotels. The development marks the hotelier’s second Caribbean venture within the Lesser Antilles.
The resort is the first government-approved real estate project under Dominica’s Citizenship-by-Investment program. The design of the 160-room hotel will conserve Dominica’s natural beauty and eco-system with developers promising to protect and retain the authenticity of the locale, which is surrounded by the Cabrits National Park. Guests will enjoy panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, a fitness center, an all-weather tennis court, hot- and cold-water pools, and on-site food and beverage outlets.
Founded in 1897, Kempinski is one of Europe’s oldest luxury hotel groups. The company manages a portfolio of 75 luxury hotels and residences in 33 countries and continues to add new properties in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
