East China’s Jiangsu province has a new hotel in the heart of the Da Shi Kou central business district. The 318-key Hyatt Regency Zhenjiang, owned by the Suning Group, is located atop the East Tower of Suning Plaza.
The hotel’s interiors tell the story of the Wu culture. Wu is an ancient state on China’s east coast with origins dating back 3,000 years ago that lies along the Yangtze River in an area that now comprises southern Jiangsu Province, northern Zhejiang Province and Shanghai. Design elements of the hotel reflect rivers, water, towers and forests.
Floors 59-76 are home to guestrooms, including 20 suites. The fifth and sixth floors house more than 16,400 sq. ft. of meeting space, including a pillar-free 9,472 sq. ft. ballroom that can hold up to 900 guests on the fifth floor.
The property also features two restaurants and lounges, a 24-hour wellness facility, indoor swimming pool and a rooftop helipad.
