Hotel Winters, a full-service luxury boutique hotel in Yolo County, California, features 78 rooms and will soon offer three restaurant concepts including a rooftop bar, full-service spa and high-end retail space.
The hotel’s design blends the town’s classic architecture with contemporary details. Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted with high ceilings, grand chandeliers and a color palette of crisp whites, neutrals and cool blues. The interiors feature a gallery of artwork from local artists throughout the hotel. Rather than offering the traditional large check-in counter, the lobby holds a few smaller reception desks. The lobby additionally features several intimate sitting areas.
Keeping to the same color palette as the lobby, the guestrooms also showcase 10-ft. ceilings and plantation shutters. Standout suites include the 800-sq.-ft. Bridal Suite (shown) and Winters Signature Suite, designed by Karla Avila, one cofounder in the husband-and-wife team of local design firm Avila Winters.
The project also features an abundance of meeting and event space, including the 3,400-sq.-ft. Orchard Ballroom with grand picture windows and a 6-ft. fireplace. A full-service spa, ZenTerra, will open in November on the ground floor of the hotel. Also, in November, a high-end retail space will open from Avila Winters, which will be the second storefront location for the local designer to sell home décor.
