Rocco Forte’s Hotel de la Ville, set to open this May, is inspired by the era of the Grand Tour when Rome was considered an essential destination. That’s why this 104-room, 18th-century palazzo will feature interiors designed by Tommaso Ziffer and Olga Polizzi that showcase bold colors and patterns as well as unique furnishings by local artisans.
Guestroom sizes will start at 270 sq. ft. and feature wooden floors, marble bathrooms and views over Via Sistina and the rooftops of the Eternal City. The 15 suites at the property include two Signature Suites and a Presidential Suite that includes a kitchen, studio and two panoramic terraces.
Helmed by the director of food, Chef Fulvio Pierangelini, and overseen by Lydia Forte, food and beverage director for Rocco Forte Hotels, three new restaurants and three cocktail bars will round out the Hotel de la Ville. The Lobby Lounge & Bistro will showcase fresh produce. The main restaurant will offer a Mediterranean-inspired menu, and the rooftop bar will feature contemporary cocktails.
Hotel de la Ville will be part of the Virtuoso network, which comprises over 1,000 travel agency partners with 20,000 travel advisors in 50 countries throughout North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
