Move over dual-branded properties, the first tri-branded hotel from Hilton is on the scene. Operated by First Hospitality Group, the property includes Hilton Garden Inn Chicago McCormick Place, Hampton Inn by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place and Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place. All three are connected to Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center,
Construction of the property was led by McHugh/UJAMAA LLC, a joint venture between James McHugh Construction Co. and minority-owned contractor UJAMAA Construction Inc. Antunovich Associates was the building architect and architect of record; Todd Halamka + Partners served as the associate hotel architect; and Looney & Associates was the interior designer.
The building stands 23 stories, is connected to the convention center via a skybridge and has a total of 466 guestrooms and suites (184 Hilton Garden Inn rooms, 187 Hampton Inn rooms and 95 Home2 suites). The three brands are tied together through shared spaces, including a fitness center, indoor pool, business center and 7,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Two food and beverage outlets, VU Skyward Bev & Eat and soon-to-open Fatpour Tapworks, offer dining options in addition to complimentary breakfasts.
