Greece’s new Olea All Suite Hotel from owner Xenos Hotels Group blends the outdoors and indoors in the design of its 93 suites. Athens and Stockholm-based architecture practice Block722architects+ drew inspiration from the resort’s location, a hillside on the northeastern coast in the village of Tsilivi on the island of Zakynthos.
The soothing quality of water provides the design inspiration for this modern, minimalist property. A 43,055 sq. ft. pool reminiscent of a lake sits at the heart of the property and weaves around the outside of the hotel’s suites. Suites range in size from 388 to 1,130 sq. ft. and showcase terraces with views of the Ionian Sea, the pool or the property’s lush gardens. Smooth stone and multi-textured linens provide a calming, earthy color palette that seamlessly extends to outdoor spaces in the luxury suites that offer swim-up pools. Natural materials such as rustic oak wood, bamboo and rattan help to tie the concept together.
A fitness center, beauty salon and 3,229 sq. ft. spa round out the resort’s health and wellness hotspots. The development also includes three restaurants and three bars, with offerings ranging from casual to upscale and wine to cocktails.
