Hospitality interior design firm Flick Mars is launching two new offices to join its headquarters in Dallas. The new studios, in New York and Los Angeles, will officially launch next month around the same time as the Boutique Design New York (BDNY) trade fair and conference, where the firm plans to roll out its new look.
Owners James Flick and Matt Mars selected prime real estate for both locations. The New York office is in a pocket of Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood, which the firm says lends itself to the hip projects it has on tap, including the Philadelphia Moxy Hotel and the Tapestry Basking Ridge. The Los Angeles space is set in Woodland Hills, an upscale neighborhood adjacent to Calabasas and Burbank. The West Coast team will focus on new projects such as Delta Hotel Santa Clara in Silicon Valley and the AC Hotel in Santa Rosa.
Flick Mars first launched in 2005 in the Vickery Meadows neighborhood of Dallas. Since then, the firm has designed an extensive roster of branded hotels, including the Moxy Chicago Downtown; The Otis Austin, a Marriott Autograph Collection; and Campbell House Lexington, a Hilton Curio Collection.
