Marriott Intl.’s 452-room EDITION is the first new construction that Times Square has seen in the past 25 years. The U.S. Immigration Fund project is being developed in partnership with brand creator Ian Schrager, Witkoff, Winthrop Realty Trust and Maefield Development through EB-5 financing. Yabu Pushelberg leads the interior design. Platt Byard Dovell White Architects (PBDW) is designing the structure.

Slated to open in February, the hotel will have 40,000 sq. ft. of food and beverage and entertainment space. Four levels of public space will include a 5,000-sq.-ft. performance venue, a 1,900-sq.-ft. studio, a fitness center and a lobby lounge. The hotel’s signature restaurant will lead out to a 5,800-sq.-ft. beer garden and event deck overlooking Times Square, while its all-day dining venue will feature terraces with city views.

Additionally, 76,000 sq. ft. of retail space is part of the plan. Hershey’s Chocolate World and the NFL Experience have already opened at the base of the building, comprising over 46,000 sq. ft.
