Dorchester Collection is set to manage Omniyat’s luxury One Palm development on The Palm Jumeirah man-made island on the Dubai coastline, making it the first residential development in the Middle East to be managed by the hospitality brand. The news follows an announcement earlier this month that the two companies are partnering to bring Dorchester Collection to Marasi, Dubai, in a development that will feature an ultra-luxury hotel and serviced residences.
Designed by New York architects SOMA, the 910,000 sq. ft. One Palm will house 90 apartments, including three-, four- and five-bedroom residences. Owners of the residences will able to pick interiors designed by one of two high-profile interior design firms: Japan’s Super Potato, known for its chic and modern fit-outs; or London-based design studio Elicyon, which is best known for its involvement in the One Hyde Park building.
“Not only will Dorchester Collection bring its distinct style of hospitality to the hotel and residence complex in Marasi, but also to One Palm—arguably Dubai’s most exclusive address,” says Christopher Cowdray, ceo, Dorchester Collection.
Mahdi Amjad, ceo and executive chairman of Omniyat, a Dubai-based developer, added: “Omniyat’s partnership with Dorchester Collection is so much more than providing another luxury development in Dubai. It’s about offering an experience like no other.”
Dorchester Collection currently consists of nine luxury hotels in Europe and the U.S.: The Beverly Hills Hotel in California; Hotel Bel-Air, Los Angeles; The Dorchester, London; 45 Park Lane, London; Coworth Park, Ascot, U.K.; Le Meurice, Paris; Hôtel Plaza Athénée, Paris; Hotel Principe di Savoia, Milan; and Hotel Eden, Rome.
