Designed by architectural firm El Dorado Inc. in partnership with Simeone Deary Design Group, the 131-room Crossroads Hotel from Chicago-based Aparium Hotel Group will be housed in a former bottling and distribution plant for Pabst Brewing Company in Kansas City dating back to 1911.
Elements of the original building will be maintained throughout accented with an industrial feel for the hotel, set to open later this month. The property will include a 2,000 sq. ft. public gallery and studio space as part of a locally focused artist-in-residence program curated by El Dorado.
The property will offer several food and beverage outlets, including modern Italian steakhouse Lazia, indoor/outdoor rooftop beer garden Percheron, and casual eatery XR.
Crossroads will open with Hyatt Hotels veteran Jeff Conrade as general manager; Mimi Kippes as director of sales; and fashion industry veteran and Kansas City native Jeremy Bennett as director of lifestyle.
