Led by chef Fabrizio Facchini, Cotto is a new Italian restaurant and bar opening this fall in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood at the soon-to-debut Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel. Set on the former site of the Antique Garage flea market, the project was designed by architecture and design firm Stonehill Taylor, drawing inspiration from the surrounding Flower District and the former market’s vintage charm.
Cotto’s design will contrast New York’s concrete jungle and feature airy indoor and outdoor seating with a trellis-covered courtyard composed of red brick flooring, water fountains and eclectic garden furnishings.
Facchini will also spearhead all food and beverage operations at the Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel, including catering for private events in the Cardinal Ballroom and the two-story rooftop lounge, Somewhere Nowhere.
