The new-build Conrad Punta de Mita resort, designed by SB Architects, will open up for business this September at 30 percent capacity with 96 guestrooms available for booking.
Drawing influence from Mexico’s history and culture, indigenous artwork will help to create a sense of barefoot resort elegance that highlights its local identity. All 324 guestrooms and suites will boast views of the Pacific Ocean, with suites and villa Casitas offering large patios, plunge pools, freestanding soaking tubs, and outdoor showers.
The spa will offer an indoor/outdoor design and traditional temazcal spread across 10,000 square feet. Seven cocoon treatment cabanas will be nestled among the vegetation and connected by a tunnel of plants and flowers. Fitness center offerings include an outdoor lawn for yoga and stretching.
Four restaurant and three bar concepts will offer menus and spaces that pay tribute to age-old techniques and flavors—among them, CODEX, a specialty restaurant that will feature local ingredients and unique dining experiences like the Full Moon, which includes a curated menu based on the phases of the moon, and the Cuuca Hiici experience that incorporates traditional foods with gratitude rituals.
