Developer brothers Derek and Greg Stevens have unveiled plans for Circa Resort & Casino, a new integrated gaming resort in Downtown Las Vegas slated to open in December 2020. It will be the first ground-up resort development in the area since 1980. Steelman Partners has been tapped to oversee the architecture and design, with Tré Builders as the construction manager and McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. as the contractor.
Project participants say Circa will mix the glamour of vintage Vegas with modern luxuries and technology. The development will nod to the Las Vegas legends of the past, ranging from the visionaries behind the first gambling halls on Fremont Street to the top destination resorts on the Strip. The hotel will comprise 777 rooms and suites. The 1.25-million-sq.-ft. development will also include several restaurants, the longest outdoor bar on Fremont Street Experience, a spa and a two-level casino.
Over the past decade, the brothers have developed several ventures, including the D Las Vegas, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.
