David Messersmith has been appointed director of hospitality at JMJ Development, a privately held real estate firm of premium-branded luxury residences and commercial developments in the United States. He will oversee projects as well as lead the research of new development opportunities.
Messersmith, who has worked on countless assets across the world that have won numerous awards, brings 12 years of experience to the company. He has regularly advised hospitality companies on how to enhance the guest experience and operations. Previously he served at Gatehouse Capital, and prior to that he spent six years as vice president of J/Brice Design International, Inc.

JMJ’s roles include master planning of communities to managing the disposition of upscale assets, and the firm’s core structure comprises strategic oversight as well as legal, conceptual and marketing expertise. Key properties include: Frisco Bridges, which has the Stonebriar Mall in the development, in Frisco, Texas; West World Development in Palm Springs, California; Rosewood Mayakoba in Riviera Maya; and Rosewood Las Ventanas in Cabo, Mexico.
