Arlo Hotels, an independent, 4-star lifestyle hotel brand, has made two team appointments. Managing director Javier Egipciaco is adding senior vice president to his title. Meanwhile, Manya duHoffmann has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing. Both roles will oversee Arlo’s existing properties in New York City, as well as future development in core urban markets.
Egipciaco has been with Arlo Hotels since the brand was founded in 2014. Under his guidance, the company launched two New York City properties: SoHo in September 2016 and Arlo NoMad in November 2016. He will continue serving as the managing director, overseeing the operations of all Arlo properties, while also serving as senior vice president spearheading the brand’s development into additional markets.
Additionally, duHoffmann joins the brand with 25 years of hospitality experience and will lead sales and marketing for the growing Arlo portfolio. She was most recently the regional vice president of sales for Journal Hotels, where she was a key member on the executive team that launched Mondrian Park Avenue, the company’s primary New York asset. She has also held various leadership roles with hospitality brands, including Thompson Hotels, GFI Hotels, Standard Hotels, RockResorts International and Four Seasons Regent Hotels & Resorts.
