Capella Hotel Group and Country Group Development PCL are partnering to open an all-suite urban resort in Bangkok later this month. Hamiltons International Pte Ltd. served as master planner for the Capella Bangkok, while the interiors were crafted by BAMO and Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA). PIA Interior designed the resort’s Auriga Spa.
Located along the Chao Phraya River waterfront promenade, the 101-key property will feature a signature restaurant conceptualized by Argentinian chef Mauro Colagreco. It will also include The Capella Library, a dessert bar with cocktails, a riverside all-day dining venue and a grand ballroom.
“Capella Bangkok adds a new dimension to our growing portfolio of iconic hotels in key Asian destinations,” says Nicholas Clayton, ceo of Capella Hotel Group. “Its remarkable location along the legendary Chao Phraya River makes it a natural choice for discerning travelers in search of authentic Thai experiences at every touch point. This commitment to local culture is evident at all Capella hotels, which include Singapore, Shanghai, Düsseldorf and Saint Lucia, as well as properties under development in Ubud, Maldives and Sydney.”
