The 102-room Burgess Hotel has opened in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. The hotel is owned by hoteliers Freny and Burges Jokhi and operated by Atlanta-based Hospitality Ventures Management Group. The project was designed by ceo and design principal Kimberly Miller of Duncan Miller Ullman.
Guestroom design was inspired by international destinations. The residential style rooms incorporate wood flooring, contemporary clean lines, bold textures and custom artwork. DMU also curated the open concept lobby, restaurant, bar, meeting space and fitness center, which all maintain a similar, ambience. The outdoor pool will offer an in-town courtyard oasis with full-service food and beverage options. The hotel also showcases custom artwork designed by Jessica Jokhi, a Chicago based artist and the daughter of Burges and Freny.
The hotel includes Fia and Mr. B. Bar, two chef-driven food and beverage outlets created by Apicii Hospitality Group, an award-winning hospitality company. Apicii is known for restaurants such as Casa Apicii, and Bowery Road (New York City), as well as Breva Restaurant and Hotel Figueroa’s Veranda (L.A.).
