Washington, D.C.’s former University Inn has been transformed into ARC THE.HOTEL with a updated look by HVS Design, including revamped guestrooms and a new restaurant concept. Jonathan Nehmer + Associates (JN+A) served as the architect and project manager.
Guestrooms at the nine-story, 136-room hotel combine function with comfort in a bright and spacious environment that is framed by panoramic views of the Potomac River. The rooms are rounded out by wood tile entryways and marble-clad desks, while vanity countertops add a luxe touch in the bathrooms.
The new restaurant features wooden tables, earthy stone and warm tones throughout. Dubbed Notti 824, the F&B venue is home to a landscaped courtyard for al fresco dining and will launch with a breakfast and dinner rollout in November. The eatery also includes an extensive bar program complete with locally sourced craft beers.
