Marriott Intl.’s AC Hotels brand is set to make its debut in the Cleveland market in August. The five-story, newbuild project is slated for Beachwood’s newest mixed-use district, the Pinecrest Development. Columbus, Ohio-based firm Meyers + Associates Architecture is spearheading the 145-key hotel’s design.
The AC Hotel Cleveland Beachwood will feature a European-style aesthetic, based on the vision of Spanish hotelier Antonio Catalán, the brand’s founder. Showcasing a glass façade, the property will include amenities such as The AC Kitchen, a multi-functional F&B venue with the look of a high-end residential kitchen; and The AC Library, a meeting and work area integrated into the hotel’s public spaces.
Work on the 81,280-sq.-ft. boutique started in May of last year, according to Cleveland Construction, which is providing construction management services on the project.
The property is owned and operated by DelMonte Hotel Group.
