The AC Hotel Cincinnati at the Banks has made its debut. The 171-key representative of the Marriott Intl. lifestyle flag is part of a mixed-use office, retail and residential complex in the city’s downtown that’s near the Ohio River.
The hotel was developed by Eagle Realty Group on behalf of its parent company, Western & Southern Financial Group, and its operating partner, Winegardner & Hammons Hotel Group LLC. Winegardner & Hammons also served as architect and interior designer for the project. (That firm’s vice president of construction, Jeff Eagle, joined Boutique Design and local hospitality thought leaders in a discussion about the state of the industry this past summer.)
Project participants say the hotel features a European-inspired design that caters to travelers and locals alike. Its F&B options include the AC lounge; The AC Upper Deck rooftop bar and event space; and the AC kitchen.
“We’re excited to bring this dynamic hotel to downtown Cincinnati,” says Tom Stapleton, senior vice president, Eagle Realty Group. “The European inspiration of the design and the beverage and food is unlike any other hotel in the downtown market and has already been well received.”
