Cyrus to Debut in Topeka
Hotel joins $9.5 million revitalization of the city
Aparium Hotel Group is gearing up for the opening of the Cyrus Hotel, a project in Topeka, Kansas, that will combine historic buildings with a modern new-build tower. Designed by Chicago-based Avenir Creative and local firm Architect One hotel will offer 109 guestrooms that balance contemporary design with Midwestern charm.
The hotel is located near the city's $9.5 million revitalization plaza project featuring gardens, performance spaces, a splash park and an ice rink that's set to be completed in 2020. Named after Cyrus K. Holliday, a Civil War hero and pioneer of the Transcontinental Railroad, the hotel's interiors showcase a warm and earthy color palette, and patterns inspired by the prairie landscape and Hollidays’ military career.
The property will also include The Weather Room, a flagship ground floor restaurant and bar, as well as expansive meeting and event spaces. Cyrus Hotel is collaborating with local businesses and purveyors to provide on-site offerings and amenities.
